The Kapstadt Brauhaus was started at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town in 2018 and aspires to become one of the biggest chains in the country, with a store in every town. It was founded by Douw Krugmann and his family. Douw has more than 30 years experience in the restaurant business and also founded the Cape Town Fish Market group.

The Kapstadt Brauhaus offers a menu of traditional German cuisine, including eisbein, schnitzels, pretzels, German sausages and alpine pizza. It is a casual dining establishment that caters to any LSM. Patrons can also pull in for a pint of one of the many local and international beers on offer. We have 12 beers on tap and aim to keep the house lager very affordable.
